Brea Does It The Easy Way, With Commpro's tmsPublisher
This city is more resident/business driven than tourist driven and wanted to address the needs of both the business and residential communities. Brea also wanted to show that they are very much an art community. To convey this they wanted a site with a bolder statement and not so "municipal" in color scheme. They also wanted to give prominence to their arts programs, Art in Public Places, theatre and museum.
The concept of a 24-hour City Hall online was very important to them. Brea realizes that most people surf the web for information after hours and experience frustration that all city offices are closed. The new website gave them the ability to post the most frequently requested and updated material several times per week.
Brea saw the need to maintain their own website without having to go through their IT department for each little change. They decided on our content management software to accomplish this. Now, each department can have an "editor" to oversee what others in each department contribute to the site. There is an overall "publisher" to the website to bring all departments together and maintain the look and feel of the site.
